Troubleshooting
Camera
Power is not turned on.
Memory card slot/battery
cover is open.
Battery charge is low and
the camera will not operate.
("Change the battery pack"
message displays).
Poor contact between
camera and battery
terminals.
The camera's horizontal/
vertical orientation was
changed.
Press the power button (Basic
Guide p. 10).
• Confirm that the memory card slot
Ibattery cover is securely closed
(Basic Guide p. 6).
• Insert a fully charged battery into
the camera (Basic Guide p. 6).
• Use the AC Adapter Kit ACK-
DC20 (sold separately) (p. 138).
• Polish the terminals with a soft
cotton swab before charging or
using the battery (p. 134).
• The camera's orientation
mechanism is operating. There is
no malfunction.
