Automatic Time Constants can be selected in which case the faders for attack and release time
become deactivated. Here the program automatically selects attack and release times in relation to
the crossover's inferior frequency cut-off. The following table charts the time constants selected by the
program:
Inferior frequency cut-off (Hz)

20-62
63-124
125-249
250-499
500-999
1000-1999

Noise Gate
In addition to the compressor/limiter the LMS244 incorporates an independent Noise Gate per output.
The noise gate option can be turned on/off by means of the Bypass button. The Bypass button
appears in red in the case of a deactivated noise gate.
Threshold: is the level below which the noise gate becomes active.
Hold Time: is the period of time which the signal remains below the threshold before the noise gate is
activated. This is to avoid the immediate noise gate execution after the signal drops below the
threshold level.
Close Time: is the time required for the noise gate to close off the channel completely after the signal
has dropped below the threshold for a period of time determined by the hold time. Should the signal at
anytime rise to above the level set by the threshold, then the noise gate opens immediately.
