Time code

Editing information such as time code and user bit is recorded as time data. Both Rec Run and Free Run time code modes
are available.
REC RUN
REC RUN is the most commonly used mode, where the time code advances only while recording. The time
code also continues during splices. Thus the time code acts as a guide to the remaining recording time.
FREE RUN
In FREE RUN mode, the time code continues even when recording is stopped, providing in-camera continuity
during breaks in recording. This mode is useful when using multiple cameras and for synching to an external
time code.
TIPS
The wireless remote control (supplied) has a TC RESET button for resetting the time code.
The wireless remote control can be used to synchronize the time codes of multiple NXCAM cameras. Ensure all cameras are
set to FREE RUN, then line them up facing the remote control and press TC RESET.
Note:
1. The remote control function must be enabled on the camera under MENU → OTHERS.
2. Before synchronizing multiple cameras, ensure that all cameras are using the same frame rate and drop frame settings.
