Installation Manual Introduction This 5.25” enclosure is designed to provide a solution to connect existing storage devices such as 3.5” IDE hard drive, MO drives, CD devices or DVD devices to USB2.0 or Firewire 1394a, an ideal interconnect for multimedia application. This 5.25” enclosure can provide peak data transfer rate up to 480Mbps for USB 2.0 interface and 400Mbps for Firewire 1394a interface.

After securing the CD/DVD device or hard drive, you can cover the screw or screw hole using the rubber sheet provided. Connect the appropriate cables to the 5.25” enclosure. Make sure the polarity of the AC-DC 12VDC power supply is correct. If the polarity is not correct, you can damage the electronic section of the 5.25”...

No need for additional drivers because Microsoft already provides an USB Mass Storage driver with Windows ME, 2000& XP operating system. Once you connect the 5.25” enclosure to the USB 2.0 port on your system, Windows should automatically detect the device and install the appropriate drivers. B.
