Selecting this field loads the factory defaults for BI O S and Chipset Features w hich t h e sy stem automatically
detects.
When y ou select this function, the foll o w ing message will appear at the center of the screen to assist y ou in
creating a passw ord.
Ty pe the passw ord, up t o eight characters, and press <Enter>. You will be asked t o confirm the passw ord.
Ty pe t h e passw ord again and press <Enter>. You may also press <Esc> to abort t h e selecti o n and not enter
a passw ord.
To disable passw ord, just press <Enter> w hen y ou are prompted to enter passw ord. A message
"PASSWORD DISABLED" w ill appear to confirm t h e passw ord being di s abled. Once t h e passw ord i s disabled,
the sy stem w ill boot and you can enter Setup freely .
The BIOS Setup program allow s y ou to specify tw o separate passwords:
SUPERVISOR PASSWORD and a USER PASSWORD. When disabled, any one may access all BIOS Setup
program f u nction. When enabled, the Superv i s or passw ord is required for entering the BIOS Setup program
and having full confi g uration fiel d s, the User passw ord is required to access only basic items.
If y ou select "Sy st e m" at "Password Check" in Adv ance BIOS Features Menu, y ou w ill be prompted for the
passw ord ev ery t i me the system is rebooted or any time y ou try to enter Setup Menu.
If you select "Setup" at "Password Check" in Adv ance BIOS Features Menu, y ou w i l l be prompted only w hen
y ou try to enter Setup.
