Note:  The  Revbox  Erg  is  NOT  designed  as  just  a  winter  trainer.  To  experience  the  maximum  benefits  from  the  Revbox  Erg

However,   f or   s ome   i deas   s ee:  
 
Maintenance    
 
While   t he   R evbox   i s   l argely   m aintenance   f ree,   t here   a re   a   c ouple   o f   s mall   t hings   y ou   c an   d o   t hat   w ill   g reatly   e nhance   t he   l ongevity   o f  
your   u nit.  
 
1.
After   a pproximately   t wo   w eeks   u se,   p lease   c heck   a nd   t ighten   a ll   t he   b olts   o n   t he   u nit   –   t hey   s hould   b e   t ightened   t o   8 Nm.  
 
2.
Periodically   c heck   t hat   t he   c hain   o n   t he   R evbox   u nit   i s   t ight,   w e   r ecommend   c hecking   e very   6   h ours   u se,   e specially   i n   t he  
first   m onth.     T he   c hain   s hould   h ave   n o   m ore   t han   2 -­‐5mm   s lack   w here   i t   f irst   c omes   i nto   c ontact   w ith   t he   t op   o f   t he   c hainring.    
If   t here   i s   m ore   m ovement   t han   t his,   p lease   a djust   t he   c hain   t ension   a s   f ollows:  
 
 
a).  
Loosen   t he   2   b olts   o f   t he   f an   u nit   a t   t he   c entre   o f   t he   m ain   s ide   p anels  
b).    
Adjust   t he   c hain  tensioner   t o   t he   c orrect   p osition   o n   b oth   s ides   a nd   m ake   s ure   t he   f an   i s   1   k lick   o ff   s et   t o   t he  
NON   d rive   s ide.    
c).    
Re-­‐tighten   the   bolts   to   8Nm,   starting   with   the   driveside   bolt,   making   sure   that   the   fan   remains   straight   –   the   fan  
blades   s hould   n ot   b e   w ithin   5 mm   o f   h itting   t he   c hain   i n   a ny   p art   o f   t he   f an's   r evolution.  
 
3.
The  lube  on  the  chain  from  new  will  last  for  a  long  time,  but   when  it  eventually  becomes  time  to   re-­‐lube   please   only   use   a  
silicone   l ubricant.     ( This   c an   a lso   b e   a pplied   t o   t he   c assette   i f   r equired).  
 
Transport   a nd   C are  
 
When   t ransporting   t he   R evbox   p lease   m ake   s ure   t o:  
 
1.
Keep   i t   p roperly   s ecured   –   w e   r ecommend   t he   u se   o f   t he   o ptional   R evbox   E rg   c arry   b ags   t o   k eep   a ll   t he   p arts   p rotected   f rom  
harm.  
2.
Use   t he   s upplied   V elcro   f astened   c arry   h andle   t o   l ift   t he   R evbox,   m aking   s ure   t hat   t he   V elcro   i s   f ully   s ecured   w ith   y our   t humb  
on   t he   f ront   s ide.  
3.
If   y ou   u se   t he   o ptional   R evbox   E rg   c arry   b ag,   p lease   s tore   t he   s tabilizer   l eg   i n   t he   s pecial   c ompartment   i n   t he   i nside   o f   t he   b ag,  
so   t he   l eg   d oesn´t   s cratch   t he   s ide   p anels.      
 
Please   a lways   r emove   t he   l ong   t op   s kewers   w hile   h aving   t he   t rainer   i n   t he   b ag.  
 
While   u sing   t he   R evbox   p lease...  
 
1.
Avoid   p lacing   p ressure   o r   w eight   o n   t he   m esh   t hat   c overs   t he   t op   o f   t he   f an.  
2.
Do   n ot   p ut   f orce   o n   t he   m esh   o f   t he   s ide   p anels.  
3.
Avoid  rocking  your  bike  excessively  –  while  the  Revbox  is  very  stable,  this  can  cause  damage  to  both  your  bike  and  
the   t rainer   i tself.    
4.
Although   t he   R evbox   E rg   i s   n early   f ully   c overed   a nd   v ery   s afe   t o   u se,   w e   s trongly   r ecommend   y ou   t rain   i n   a   s afe   a nd  
controlled   e nvironment,   w ithout   c hildren   o r   p ets,   s o   n o   s mall   b ody   p arts   c an   g et   i nto   t he   m achine   w hile   i n   u se.
