Notebook quality components are used in the processor, chipset, and power supply circuitry, allowing for reduced heat generation and minimal power usage. Additionally, the J2 485 takes full advantage of the low power features built into the Intel processor and chipset to further reduce heat.
  • Page 11: Ups

Not your ordinary UPS, the J2 485 UPS is a DC, not an AC UPS. The UPS replaces the internal power supply. Unlike an AC UPS the J2 UPS makes the 485 work more like a notebook computer. In addition to running the J2 485 for up to one hour, the UPS will run all the POS peripherals attached to the 485, including the printer.
  • Page 12: System

In this case the J2 485 could be configured with a quad core i5 or i7 processor. J2 will be happy to help you determine what you require from the J2 485 to have the best performance for your customer needs. For example, more memory may be added, or sometimes a quad core processor and dual HDD with RAID can all be included.
