Notes on Safety
Caution
Please read through and follow the instructions for use carefully
The Smart Battery Charger is designed to charge Alkaline, and
rechargeable NiMH and NiCd batteries.
DO NOT charge used Carbon-Zinc batteries or old batteries that are have
not been in use for a long time. This could result in overheating of the bat-
teries or leaking of chemical substances and in turn damage to the charger.
It is recommended to use the charger with quality Alkaline batteries which
are newly produced and discharged. DO NOT charge the non branded
cheaper batteries of lower quality.
DO NOT charge deformed, damaged, rusty or leaking batteries with the
charger.
Its recommended to take out the batteries and pull the plug from the socket
when the charger is not in use.
The charger is for indoor use only. Please keep it away from extreme
temperatures and direct exposure to sunlight, water or other liquids.
DO NOT drop or mistreat the charge, or place heavy objects on the charger.
DO NOT disassemble.
This appliance is not intended for use by young children. IT IS NOT A TOY.
Children should be supervised by an adult to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
A 1 YEAR WARRANTY IS SUPPLIED WITH THIS PRODUCT SUBJECT TO
ADHERING TO THE ABOVE SAFETY POINTS
Functions and Features
Applicable to AA and AAA Alkaline / NiMH / NiCd batteries (2700mAH max
rated capacity of each battery that can be charged ).
Individual charge circuit for each battery to be charged (Single Battery
Charge is OK), and it is able to charge up to Four Batteries at the same time.
Micro-processor chip controlled system to automatically detect charge
process and temperature to prevent over charging.
Safety charging timer with 4 hour automatic cut-off.
Automatic cut-off system after charging completes.
Automatic cut-off system when batteries fall off.
Automatic cut-off system against overheat.
Automatic sensing of the misplacement of batteries in wrong poles.
ALKALINE BATTERIES CAN BE RECHARGED UP TO 20 TIMES DEPEND-
ING ON THE ORIGINAL BATTERY QUALITY
Initial Set Up and Use

Plug the power cord into the power cord
connector hole and then connect to your
electrical socket.

Put the batteries into the

charging slots with the

poles the
correct way
around.
(Match the [ + ] and
[ - ] terminal of the
battery with the
charger's [ + ] and
[ - ] contact surface.)

Charging completes:
AAA [ - ]
"Green" and "Red"
contact surface2
AA [ - ]
light flashes for five
contact surface3
times by turns and
lights stays "Green".
LED Indicator lights
When first connected to the power supply the LED lights will flash
between red and green twice. The lights will then turn off, the unit is now in
standby mode.
Low voltage or aged batteries: The LED indicator lights will remain off. The
batteries cannot be charged.
New batteries and fully charged batteries: LED indicator will flash in green
light for five times and then show green light. When the batteries are re-
moved the LED lights will turn off.
Batteries are charging. The LED lights will be red.
Batteries are charged. The LED lights will be green. When the batteries are
removed the LED lights will turn off.
Overheating warning: The LED lights will flash between red and green five
times and then turn off. Charging will recommence once the batteries are
back to a safe temperature.
Battery falls out: The green light will flash once then turn off.
