I SERVICE PRECAUTIONS /
Safety measures
• Some internal parts in this product contain high voltages
and are dangerous. Be sure to take safety measures
during servicing, such as wearing insulating gloves.
• Note that positions indicated below are dangerous even
after the power is turned off because an electric charge
remains and a high voltage continues to exist there.
Before starting any repair work, perform discharge by
connecting a discharge resistor (5k-ohms/10W) between
terminals at following positions. The time required for
discharging is about 30 seconds.
1. C504/C505 on POWER (1) P.C.B..
2. C518 on POWER (1) P.C.B..
Refer to "PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARDS: POWER (1)
P.C.B." .
I DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURES /
(Remove parts in the order as numbered.)
Cautions for disassembly and reassembly:
• Disconnect the power cable from the AC outlet.
• Spread soft cloth or the like and perform the work on it.
• Use full care as you may be injured by the front grille
or other part.
• All screws must be tightened securely to prevent air
leakage. Check the number of screws and their posi-
tions when installing them.
• When installing parts, be careful not to have anything
such as cables caught between other parts.
• Make sure that all the removed driver (tweeter) parts
are reinstalled at specified positions.
Disassembly Procedures as far as P.C.B. and Driver
Tweeter
1. Removal of Rear Panel
* Screws to be removed are identified with arrow
marks (
).
a. Remove 13 screws (1) and screw (2). (Fig. 1)
* Be sure to use P tapping screw for the screws marked (2).
b. Remove rear panel R. (Fig. 1)
c. Remove 7 screws (3) and screw (4). (Fig. 1)
d. Remove rear panel C. (Fig. 1)
e. Remove 12 screws (5) and screw (6). (Fig. 1)
* Be sure to use P tapping screw for the screws marked
(6).
f. Remove rear panel L. (Fig. 1)

2. Removal of HDMI P.C.B.
a. Remove 4 screws (7), screw (8) and screw (9).
(Fig. 2)
b. Remove CB5. (Fig. 2)
c. Release the lock and remove CB6. (Fig. 2)
d. Remove HDMI P.C.B. together with flame HDMI. (Fig. 2)
