Your quadcopter is an easy-to-fly model but, you don't become an
expert pilot without taking time to learn the basics. As the saying
goes:
There are Old pilots, and there are Bold pilots...
... but, there are no Old Bold pilots!

To make the quadcopter ready for takeoff
Your quadcopter's 4-in-1 gyro receiver is equipped with a power-on
failsafe.

Move the transmitter's joystick (and
throttle trim) to the minimum throttle
setting.
Connect the battery

There is a short high tone when the signal is
established.

k. Preparations
General remarks
• If you have no or little experience with airplane models, you should
first practice with a flight simulation program.
• Seek advice from an experienced R/C user for the first few
attempts.
• Acquaint yourself with the control functions of the transmitter.

In other words, if you don't want your first few flights to end in a
pile of mangled wreckage – requiring expensive repairs to your new
model – take the time to follow this brief Flight Training Program.
After all, learning to fly your quadcopter is all part of the enjoyment!
This is designed to ensure that the quadcopter's motor will not start
unless it detects a suitable radio-control signal when the LiPo battery
is connected. The correct start-up sequence is as follows:

Power-on the transmitter.
• Begin your flight experiments standing behind the model, the line
of sight in the flight direction. In this case, the control reaction is
the same as the direction of control.
Furthermore acquaint yourself with the control of the model as it
comes towards you (side-inverted reaction to the direction of control)!
