TO ACCESS YOUR DATA WIRELESSLY ON A WINDOWS SYSTEM:
Connect your Windows computer Wi-Fi to the Gauntlet drive SSID.
Next on the Windows computer, click on the "Start Menu" button > in the 'search' window type
in \\10.10.10.254 and press 'enter' on the keyboard.
It will prompt you to enter the Samba Username and Password. The default Username and
Password are set to "admin". Press 'enter' . Once the username and password has been entered,
you are able to browse the content stored on your Gauntlet unit in Explorer like any other
storage drive on your computer.
Note: You only need to perform this login once, unless you make changes to the username or
password, or reinstall the computer's operating system software.
Note: To change the Samba username and password from your Windows computer, open a
browser window and type in \\10.10.10.254 for the URL. The same settings described in this
section will appear to make the settings changes to the Gauntlet drive without using the
'Gauntlet Connect' app.
TO ACCESS YOUR DATA WIRELESSLY ON A MAC OSX SYSTEM:
Click on the "Finder" icon in the "Dock" > click on "GauntletNode" in the left pane under "Shared"
section > click on the "Connect As..." button on the top right side of the window to enter your
Username and Password. The default Username and Password are "admin".
Once the username and password is been entered you should be able to browse the content
stored on your Gauntlet unit.
Security:
Tap this box to change the wireless security settings on the Gauntlet unit. You can choose
between "Disable", "WEPAUTO", "WPA-PSK" and "WPA2-PSK" settings. By default the security
mode is set to "Disable".
It is recommended to protect unauthorized connection and access that you enable a security
level.
Note: In some locations with multiple wireless signals in the area, or when using cable for home
network internet access, selecting 'WEPAUTO' can cause connections to be unreliable resulting
in error messages. Setting a specific security type will resolve the issue in most cases.
