IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Thank you for choosing an Optimus heater. To ensure the best performance from your heater,
please read and save the following instructions.
WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC PRECUATIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE
FOLLOWED TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND INJURY TO
PERSON, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
Read all instructions before using this heater.
This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use
grip handle when provided.
Keep combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes,
and curtains at least three (3) feet (0.9m) from the front of heater and keep them at least 1
foot (0.3m) the sides and rear of the heater.
Extreme caution is necessary when heater is used by or near children or invalids and
whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
Always unplug heater when not in use.
Do not use any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions or has
been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return heater to manufacturer for examination,
electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair. (See Warranty for information).
Do not use outdoors.
This heater is not to be used in bathrooms, laundry areas or other similar indoor locations.
Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like.
Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over.
To disconnect heater, turn control to OFF then remove plug from outlet.
Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may
cause electric shock or fire or damage the heater.
To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on
soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline,
paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
Use this heater only as directed in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause
risk of fire. However, if you must use an extension cord, the cord shall be No. 14AWG
minimum size and rated not less than 1875 watts. Never use a single extension cord to
operate more than one Heater.
If the heater will not operate: See specific instructions in Safety Feature explained in this
manual.
CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
During Season Care:
Before cleaning, be sure to turn off and unplug the heater.
Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the motor
and heating elements.
Do not immerse the heater in water.
Never use gasoline, benzene or thinner. This will damage the surface of the heater.
After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.
After Season Care:
Store heater in a cool and dry location with power cord properly secured.
Please store the unit in its original carton or suitable container.
Assembly Instruction:
1.
Unscrew the L shaped screw from the bottom of the
extension pole.
2.
Put the extension pole on to the round base and secure it
by the L shaped screw.
3.
Put the heater on top of the extension pole.
4.
Use the screw located on the base of the heater to screw it
onto the extension pole.
Operation Instruction
1.
Plug the power cord into a wall outlet (110-120V AC,60Hz).
You will hear a beep sound and the power light will be on.
2.
Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF button. When the
unit is turned on the display screen will illuminate and show
the room temperature and the adjustable thermostat
temperature. Push the HI/LO to button to select the heater
output wattage you desire. Push once to set on Low
(800W) and the display will show "∫∫" as well as "LO". Push
one more time to turn the heater on High (1200W). The
display will show "∫∫∫∫" as well as "HI".
3.
Push the ON/OFF button one more time to turn the unit off.
4.
When the heating element is on, you may push the (+) or (–) button to select the
thermostat temperature and each push will increase or decrease with 1℉ (or 1℃ if it is
displayed in Celsius). The thermostat temperature setting range is between 39℉ and 98℉
(or 4℃ and 37℃ if it display on Celsius). If you push (+) and (–) button simultaneously the
temperature will change between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
5.
Every time you push the button the beep will sound once.
6.
When the room temperature is about 2℉ (or 2℃ if it display on Celsius) higher or lower
than the set thermostat temperature the heater will automatically turn off or on itself.
7.
Timer has setting range of 0.5 hour to 8 hour. Each push will increase 0.5 hour up to 8 hour
and then turn timer off.
8.
Push the OSC button to turn the unit oscillation. Push one more time to turn the oscillation
off. It only works when the heating element is on.
Remote Control Instructions:
1.
Two AAA batteries are required (provided) before the remote can function.
2.
Remote Control Hand Unit key has the same function as manual control pad except the
HEAT/ OFF button which has been separated by HEAT and ON/OFF buttons.
3.
Push ON/OFF button first before operating. Then adjust the desired heat level and
Oscillating and Timer options you desire.

Overheat Protector

This unit equipped with TWO overheat protectors. When it senses that the output temperature is
overheated, it will cut the unit off, the red Caution light will be on and the Power light will be off.
Please wait for about 10 minutes until the Caution light is off and Power light turns on, then you need
to unplug the power cord and plug it back on again. Push the ON/OFF and +/-button to operate the
heater. This unit also equipped with a tip-over safety switch. When the unit tipped over, the heater will
cut off itself.
Service Instructions
● Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing
so will void the warranty.
● If you have any questions regarding this unit's operation or believe any repair is necessary,

● If you need to exchange the unit, please return it, in its original carton with a sales receipt
enclosed, to the store you purchased it. If you are returning the unit more than 30 days after
the date of purchase, please see the enclosed warranty.
