A flat-panel display is intended to be used only at the resolution dictated by the number of pixels on the panel. For example, the 13.8" and 15.0" Profile and ChassisTouch monitors have 1024 pixels across the screen and 768 lines of pixels down the screen. Therefore, these flat-panel displays can accurately display one resolution (1024 x 768) at full screen.
  • Page 19: Options For Using Other Video Resolutions

The pixels will take on a broader or fuzzier appearance. The MicroTouch 13.8" and 15.0" FPD monitors support the 800 x 600 (SVGA) and 640 x 480 (VGA) resolutions primarily for compatibility and monitor setup.
