Problem
In Review mode,
you do not see a
picture (or the
expected picture)
on the camera
screen.
Picture is too
dark.

Cause
The camera may not be
accessing the correct
storage location.
Flash is not on.
The subject is too far
away for the flash to
have an effect.
The subject is in front
of a bright light
(backlit).
Not enough light.
Auto exposure was not
achieved.
Solution
Check the picture storage
location setting

Turn on the flash
Move so there is no more than
13.1 ft (4 m) between the
camera and the subject; 6.5 ft
(2 m) in Telephoto.
Use Fill flash

change your position so light is
not behind the subject.
Use Long Time Exposure

34) or set ISO to 400

To take the best possible
pictures, press the Shutter
button half-way and hold.
When the Ready light glows
green, press the Shutter button
the rest of the way down to
take the picture.
