battery may short circuit, discharge energy, become hot, or leak.

Turning the camera on and off
Auto mode
NOTE: The lens retracts if it encounters an obstruction when you turn on the camera. Make sure
the lens is unobstructed and press the on/off button again.
Changing the display
If you want to
Turn the camera screen off or on.
Change the camera screen setting so
that it is off when you turn on the camera.
Show/Hide the status icons.

Press the on/off button.

Your camera is ready to take pictures when the
power light glows steady blue. Auto mode
selected.
To turn off the camera, press and hold the

on/off button for about a second.
The camera completes operations that are in
process.
