  • Page 2 Package Contents Power Inverter Features • Operate 115V AC equipment from your vehicle. • Three outlets allow operation of multiple devices such as digital cameras, DVD players, portable TVs, and many other items. • Power USB devices such as cell phones, handheld games, and MP3 players. • Automatically shuts off if your vehicle’s battery runs low.
  • Page 3 Using Your Inverter 1. Plug the power inverter into your vehicle’s power socket. 2. Plug in devices. LED lights when inverter is connected. Plug in an AC device (max 150 watts).
  • Page 4 Note: • Device must draw 150W or less of continuous AC power. • If necessary, you can use an AC extension cord. The extension cord’s rating should be equal to or greater than the device’s rating. • If the USB port and or AC outlets do not work, but LED lights up normally, unplug the inverter then plug it back into the power port, making sure you insert properly and securely.
  • Page 5: Replacing The Fuse

Replacing the Fuse If the fuse is blown, replace it with a 20A, 250V tube- type fuse (not supplied). 1. Unscrew inverter cap. 2. Replace the fuse, then screw the inverter cap back on. Caution: • Do not use a fuse with a different rating. Doing so can damage your inverter. • Watch out for loose parts (spring coil and inverter tip) when replacing the fuse.

Heat Dispersion The power inverter‘s thermal protection prevents it from operating when its temperature exceed 167°F (75°C). If the inverter gets too hot while working, it will turn off. Position the power inverter where air flows freely around it to allow the heat to disperse. Operation resumes when the temperature decreases to about 154°F (67°C). Safety Information WARNING! Shock Hazard This 150W inverter generates the same potentially dangerous AC voltage as a household wall outlet. Failure to follow these warnings may result in personal injury or damage to the inverter. Do not insert foreign objects into the inverter’s AC outlets or vents. Do not expose the inverter to water.
  • Page 7 Caution • Do not connect devices that require power greater than 150 watts. • The total power for multiple devices connected to the AC and USB sockets cannot exceed 150 watts. If you do not know the total power for your devices, connect just one device. • Always remove the inverter from the lighter socket when not in use. • The power inverter’s power plug may get hot while it is plugged into a power socket. Use a cloth or a glove to unplug it from the socket. • Let the inverter cool down completely before you store it. • During operation, keep the inverter away from materials that may be affected by high temperatures. • Make sure the power socket and plug are clean. A dirty socket can prevent the inverter from working properly. • Do not use the power inverter in a positive- grounded vehicle. Check with your vehicle dealer or a mechanic to find out if your vehicle is positive-grounded.
  • Page 8: Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting The inverter will shut down (the LED flashes) under conditions such as excessive temperature, overload, or low voltage. Follow the recommended solutions to restore operation. Cause Solution Faulty device Try another device. If another plugged into the device works using the inverter, inverter the first device maybe faulty. Temperature Disconnect all devices and exceeds 167°F wait until the inverter cools. (75°C) Your device’s power require- ment might also exceed the inverter’s rating (see “Heat Dispersion” on page 6) Continuous Disconnect all devices. Only Power load connect devices with a con- exceeds 150W tinuous power load of 150W or less. Vehicle battery Run the vehicle’s engine to voltage is lower recharge the battery, then than 10V connect the inverter into your vehicle’s power socket.
