Receive A Ptt Group Call; Join An Active Ptt Group - Motorola EWP1000 Series User Manual

Note: When you initiate a PTT group call to anther PTT
group, that group becomes your active PTT group.
To call PTT group from the home screen:

1 Dial and a number between 1 and 255.
2 Press and hold the PTT button.
3 Begin talking after your smartphone emits a
chirping sound.
4 Release the PTT button to listen.
To call PTT group from Contacts list:
1 From the Home screen, press: Contacts.
2 Scroll to the talkgroup you want to call.
3 Press and hold the PTT button. "PTT Group Call
Connected".
4 Begin talking after your smartphone emits a
chirping sound.
5 Release the PTT button to listen.
Note: the name or number of the person that is
currently talking is displayed on the screen.

receive a PTT group call

To answer a PTT group call, proceed as if
receiving a PTT call (See page 39). Only one
person at a time may speak on a group call.
The number or name of the person who is
speaking will appear on the display below the
PTT group number.

join an active PTT group

To join a PTT group from Contacts list:
1 From the Home screen, press: Contacts.
2 Scroll to the Talkgroup you want to join.
3 Press the center key s to select.
4 Press: Menu > Join PTT Group.
