Controlling the camera from your DVR or PTZ Controller: All DVR's and PTZ controllers are different. Some DVR's do not have PTZ controls on them. Before attempting to set up your DVR to "talk" to your camera, make sure the DVR has PTZ controls. To configure your DVR or PTZ controller please make sure it has the following settings: Pelco D Protocol: Pelco D is generally one of the protocols that PTZ controllers and DVR's on the market today can support.

Baud Rate: The baud rate is the communication language speed that the DVR/Controller uses to communicate with the camera. In our camera example we used 2400. This camera also supports 4800 and 9600 baud rate as well. Whatever Baud rate you choose on the camera, be sure that it is exactly matched on your DVR or PTZ controller.
