    CARE AND MAINTENANCE Automatic watches should be serviced every 3-5 years to ensure optimal performance. Routine maintenance includes complete disassembly, cleaning, lubrication of the movement and reassembly by a professional watch technician. For battery replacement on quartz watches, consult a professional watch repair center. Important note: Some watches have screw-in crowns and or pushers that must be screwed in tightly to prevent moisture from entering the case.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Carefully follow the care and maintenance instructions in this manual. Although one watch style is illustrated per watch movement, the movement and instructions may apply to more than one watch style. To determine the appropriate watch movement and instructions for your watch, identify the watch from the manual whose sub dial and day/date functions and positions exactly match those on the dial of your watch regardless of the design.

    Automatic Watches There are two ways to wind an automatic watch: Manual Winding: 1. Rotate crown clockwise for 20 to 30 times to wind the spring. Swing Winding: 1. Swing the watch from side to side in a horizontal arc for about 30 seconds. Note: When worn at least 14 hours daily, the movement’s automatic mechanism will wind the mainspring through normal wrist movement, eliminating the need for manual winding.

    Chronograph Timer Functions A chronograph is a timekeeping device that measures the time intervals independent of the regular time shown on the watch dial. Use pushers A and B to operate the chronograph. While running, once the chronograph second hand has completed one rotation, the minute counter will jump ahead one minute.

    World Timer World Timer or GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) watches simultaneously provide the local time in all of the world’s time zones, using a 24 hour scale on the watch dial. A rotating bezel indicates the names of 24 cities around the world, one representing each time zone. To determine the local time across all time zones, simply rotate the bezel until the local time in a particular city is accurately aligned on the 24 hour dial scale to the city name on the bezel.
