    Diagonal Wire Cutters • Utility Knife Note: Your e-Moto bicycle comes with a tool kit that contains most every tool needed for assembly. Even though these tools are included, mechanics tools make for an easier assembly and should be used if available.

    Installing the Handlebar Remove the protective plastic cap from the end of the handle bar assembly, and insert the two pieces at the end of the stem into the headset bearing as shown above. There is a maximum installed height etched into the stem- pick a height within the allowed range and tighten the jam nut using your M6 hex wrench.
  • Page 4 Installing the Fender Remove the bolt and lock nut from the front forks using 2 M10 wrenches. Pay close attention to the installation order of the bushings. Find and remove the packing from the Front Fender. Reinstall the bolt into the front fork, with on bushing on the front with the curved side facing the fork.

    Installing the Front Wheel Next, remove the nuts and washers from the front wheel axle. There should be a nut, one flat washer, and one keyed washer per side. You will also need to find the black metal stay for the basket to complete this step. Insert the axle into the slots on the bottom of the fork.
  • Page 6 Installing the Front Wheel Next, slide the basket stay onto the axle on both sides. On the outside of the axle stay, add the chrome fender stay to the axle.
  • Page 7 Installing the Front Wheel With both stays installed, add the flat washers to the axles. Finally, install and tighten the axle nut.
  • Page 8 Note: Pay close attention to the following segment about brake adjustments. A well functioning brake is critical to the safe operation of your new electric bike. The directions in this manual are also applicable to brake adjustments for future bike tune ups, so be sure to hang on to this manual.

    Adjusting the Brake Loosen the M5 hex nut on the right side of the brake, then using your free hand, pinch both brake arms together until there is approximately 2-3mm of gap between the pad and the rim. Tighten the nut into this position, verify the gaps, then squeeze the brake handle and check the feel of the brakes.
  • Page 10 Adjusting the Brake Once good brake feel has been adjusted, use your #1 screwdriver to adjust the small black screw shown above. This will allow you to adjust one pad inde- pendent of the other to set spring tension on both sides and to prevent brake squeal.

    Installing the Basket Locate the hardware kit for installing the front basket. Included should be 4 Phillips machine screws, 4 Nuts, 4 Washers, one flat bracket, one channeled bracket. Next, pivot the previously installed fender stay up and into position above the front fender, as shown below.
  • Page 12 Installing the Basket First, install the lower stay bracket. Align the channel in the bracket with the round stay mounted on the bike. Then install with 2 screws and 2 washers. The bracket itself is threaded so there is no need for nuts.
  • Page 13 Installing the Basket Locate the remaining flat bracket from the fastener kit. Using two screws, with washers installed, inset attach the assembly through the back of the basket onto the stay mounted on the headset bearing. Finally, tighten the screws using the remaining nuts from the fastener kit.

    Installing the Pedals Before applying a final torque to the basket fasteners, ensure it is aligned properly with the bike. Next, look at the threaded ends of each pedal. The end will be stamped with either a ‘L’ for left or a ‘R’ for right. Thread the pedals on to the correct arm, and tighten with a M15 wrench.

    Final Steps Inflate both the front and rear tires to 45psi. All e-Moto electric bicycles have self sealing tubes, so use caution to clean any residue from the self-sealing com- pound from around the valve stem.
