response.

TREBLE
This control
adlusts
treble
response.

clockwise

boost, and

response.

Note: These controls
(BASS
and
TREBLE)
are

two,section
type;
the
front
section adjusts
the left
channel
and
the
rear
section

right channel.
Usaully.

both
channels simultaneously.
To
adtust
the
response
for
only
one
channel,
the
section
corre-
sponding to
the
channel
may
be
adjusted
while
the
other
is
held
by
hand

volume

requency
noise
such
as
record
rumble,
hum,
or
other
nterference.
When
noise
is
not
present,
this
switch
is
normally
set
to
OFF.

HIGH
FILTER
Setting
this
switch
to
the
H
GH
F
LTER
position
will
eliminate
high
frequency noise,
such as
record
scratch, hiss,
static
noise
from
fluorescent lamps,
or
other
interference.
When
no
such
no
se s
present,
this
switch
is
norma
ly
set
to
0FF.
14.
MUTING
SWITCH
When
an FM station is
tuned n,
setting
this
switch
to
MUT
NG
will
el
minate interference noises
between
FM
stations.
For
re.
ception
of
a
weak
srgnal station,
the
switch
should
be
set
to
OFF,

AFC
SW]TCH
The
function
of
the
AFC
(automatic frequency control)
circuit
is
to
compensate automatically
for
tuning
drift which
frequently
occurs when

ng in an

station
for a
long time.
This
switch
should be
set

the
OFF
position

the
station has
been
