5. ADVANCED APPLICATION

This chapter explains the advanced settings for the MAX-IP-Cam, including:

- 5.1... Image Setup

- 5.2... Capture View
- 5.3... Network Setup
- 5.4... Server Setup
Using some of the features available in the following sections may require knowledge of
Computer Networking and advanced Internet connection configuration. Your ISP may or may not
be able to support you in the configuration of their Internet connection hardware. Due to the
many different models of Internet and Network connection hardware and varied methods of
performing some of the required setting changes Swann can only provide limited support in the
use and configuration of your Internet and Network hardware.
Please consult with a Network experienced or qualified person or suitable PC or Network
Technician if you are unsure of whether you will be able to make the configuration changes
recommended in the following sections.
5.1 IMAGE SETUP
This includes:
- Resolution: Users can select between image resolution of 160x120, 320x240 and 640x480.
- Quality: Users can select between "fine", "normal", and "basic" image quality;
- Anti-Flicker: Users can select between 60Hz for USA and Canada, 50Hz for Australia and
Europe, or Outdoor for when you are observing a naturally lit outside area;
- Audio: Audio output on or off;
- Rotate 180: This setting turns the image upside-down for when the camera is mounted to
a ceiling;
- IR Auto Detection: IR LED auto activation in low light.
Image Setup Directions:
Step 1. Click on ImageSet to view the menu, the default settings are shown below;
Step 2. After entering the desired values, click on Submit;
Step 3. If you wish to cancel your changes, click on Cancel.
