REMOTE CONTROL UNIT The Remote Control Unit can operate the unit from a distance. When operating the remote control unit, point it towards the front panel of the unit. • Even if the remote control unit is operated within the effective range, remote control operation may be impossible if there are any obstacles between the unit and the remote control. • If the remote control unit is operated near other appliances which generate infrared rays, or if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the unit, it may operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other appliances may operate incorrectly. The remote control unit has a built‐in magnet. SET THE COUNT DOWN TIMER You can set the count‐down timer and when the preset time is reached, the buzzer will alert. 1. Press the COUNT DOWN button (or button on remote control) “000” shows on the display. 2. Press UP / DOWN button (or / button on remote control) to set the timer. You can set up to 120 minutes at most. 2. Press the COUNT DOWN button (or button on remote control) again to save the setting and the timer starts to work. TIP: To view the remained time, briefly press the COUNT DOWN button (or button on remote control). 3. When the set time has expired, the buzzer will goes off. 4. Auto Memory Storing: Press the SCAN button on the remote control to search and save usable stations. NOTE: The unit can only store 20 FM stations and 10 AM stations at most. If your favorite station has not been stored you need to save it manually. (Refer to “TO STORE A STATION MANUALLY”.) To tune a station manually: Press the TUNE‐/SKIP‐ or TUNE+/SKIP+ button (or / button on remote control) briefly to find a station manually. TO IMPROVE THE RECEPTION If you find the AM station is not clearly enough, turn the unit to another direction until you find the station is very clear in a particular direction, since the AM band antenna is internal and directional. If you find the FM station is not clearly enough, extend the power cable as it acts an FM antenna. When the FM reception is strong, the unit will turn to stereo broadcast and the stereo icon ( ) will show on the display. TO STORE A STATION MANUALLY You can store 20 FM stations and 10 AM stations at most. 1. Press the MEMORY button and the “P” appears and digits “01” start to blink on the display. 2. RESTRACT THE DOCK If you do not dock any device, restract the dock. TO DOCK THE iPAD/iPHONE The 30‐pin connector is located at the bottom of the dock and is designated to be floating on purpose so as to accommodate all devices of iPad and iPhone. When your device is docked and connected to the 30‐pin connector, sounds will only come out from the built‐in stereo speakers on this unit and your device will be muted. TIPS: Remove the dock cover before you dock your device. iPad: • Turn the dock in the direction shown as below. Remove the dock cover. Slide your iPad from right to left to the 30‐pin connector. Press and fix the connector then connect the iPad to the connector.
