Getting started
• C onnection methods and screenshots may vary depending on the type of device
and the device's software version.
• W hen connecting the Gear to another mobile device
If you want to connect the Gear to a newly purchased mobile device or to another
mobile device for the first time, reset the Gear. Resetting the Gear will remove the
data from the memory. After the reset, you can connect the Gear to a different
mobile device. Refer to
• S ome of the Gear's features may not be available in areas with a weak signal.

Notices for using Bluetooth

• T o avoid problems when connecting your Gear to another mobile device, place the devices
close to each other.
• E nsure that your Gear and the other Bluetooth device are within the Bluetooth connection
range (10 m). The distance may vary depending on the environment the devices are used
in.
• E nsure that there are no obstacles between your Gear and a connected mobile device,
including human bodies, walls, corners, or fences.
• D o not touch the Bluetooth antenna of a connected mobile device.
• B luetooth uses the same frequency as some industrial, scientific, medical, and low power
products and interference may occur when making connections near these types of
products.
• S amsung is not responsible for the loss, interception, or misuse of data sent or received via
the Bluetooth feature.
• A lways ensure that you share and receive data with devices that are trusted and properly
secured. If there are obstacles between the devices, the operating distance may be
reduced.
• S ome devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by the Bluetooth SIG, may
be incompatible with your Gear.
• D o not use the Bluetooth feature for illegal purposes (for example, pirating copies of files
or illegally tapping communications for commercial purposes).
