Sennheiser BW900 Wireless Microphone with Rocker Switch 
This unique microphone is designed for use with a telephone, but can also be connected to a PC via 
several mechanisms.  Connecting the BW900 to a Bluetooth connection is discussed elsewhere.  These 
instructions describe how to  connect your BW900 to a pc using a reliable wired connection with a GN 
Netcom SeleCT switch and it's included modular to twin 3.5 mm cable. 
Preliminary Set‐Up:

  • Page 2 Figure 3:  Computer Only Set‐up  Set‐up in which BW900 is used only with PC and not  telephone.  In this set‐up the SeleCT switch is not used, but  the y‐cable (modular to double 3.5 mm plug) cable is used  to make the connection.  Although the USB adapter is  optional, it is highly recommended.      Details of connections:  With Standard Telephone:    1.  A modular telephone cable must connect from the “Phone” jack on the BW900 to the  central plug on the SeleCT Switch  2.   • Page 3 With a Telephone Having a Modular “Headset” Jack:  1.  A modular telephone cable is used to make a connection from the “Phone” jack on the  BW900 to the middle jack on the SeleCT switch  2. A modular telephone cable is used to connect the right‐most jack on the SeleCT switch to  the “headset” jack on the telephone  3. The Y‐cable included with the SeleCT switch is plugged into the left‐most (PC) jack on the  SeleCT switch and the two 3.5 mm plugs are attached either to a USB sound adapter or  directly to the microphone and sound jack on the  PC.  Although the use of a USB adapter is  optional, it is highly recommend.  With PC only:  1.  This set‐up does not require use of the SeleCT switch but only the Y‐cable that comes with  the switch  2. Connect the modular end of the y‐cable to the modular “phone” jack on the BW900 base.  3. Connect the two 3.5 mm audio plugs on the y‐cable to the appropriate jacks on either a USB  sound adapter (if used) or directly to the microphone and sound jack on the PC  Preparing the BW900 for Use with your PC and Telephone:  1.  Be sure you have fully charged the BW900  2.
