Dial tone is OK, but can't dial out
• Make sure the tone/pulse setting is programmed correctly.
Handset does not ring
• Make sure the ringer switch on the handset is turned to ON.
• You may have too many extension phones on your line. Try unplugging some phones.
• See solutions for "No dial tone."
Handset or Kitchen Companion loses registration ID
• If the handset or Kitchen Companion becomes unregistered, PRESS AND HOLD BASE PAGE KEY
shows in the display to prompt you to re-register the handset or the charge until the wall base
unit restores the registration ID.
• If registration is not successful, unplug the wall base unit from the electrical outlet and re-plug
it after a few seconds to reset the unit.
You experience static, noise, or fading in and out
• Change channels
• Handset or Kitchen Companion may be out of range of wall base unit. Move closer to wall base
unit.
• Relocate the wall base unit.
• Charge the battery.
• Make sure wall base unit is not plugged into an outlet with another
household appliance.
Handset beeps
• Place handset in to the Kitchen Companion charge cradle to reset. If that doesn't work, charge
battery for 12 hours.
• See solutions for "No dial tone."
• Replace battery.
Kitchen Companion beeps
• Disconnect the power supply, wait for 2 minutes and re-connect it
to reset.
• See solutions for "No dial tone".
Memory Dialing
• Did you program the memory location keys correctly?
• Did you follow proper dialing sequence?
• Make sure the tone/pulse setting is programmed correctly.
• Did you reprogram numbers into memory after power outage or battery replacement?
