INNER RANGE security system user manual for UT employees
1. Day and evening/night mode in the buildings
The buildings of the University of Tartu have specific opening hours when common areas are
not guarded and main entrances are open. UT employees should be aware of these hours.
After opening hours the doors provided with card readers can only be entered with access
cards having certain credentials.
2. Entering rooms and turning areas off
Before entering the building and workrooms, when the building has been closed, the
employees must verify if the areas are armed or not and if needed personally turn the armed
areas off. After opening the entrance door the employees have limited time to turn the
area(s) off before alarm message is sent to the security service.
3. Using the keypad
Use the keypad referred to on the picture in order
to turn the areas on or off.
The users must enter their PIN code in order to be
verified by the system.

3.1 Entering the PIN code
Enter your PIN code using the digit keys and
press OK when complete.
Your name should now be displayed on the
terminal. If your name is not displayed on
the terminal or you think you might have
made a mistake, you can start again from
the beginning. Press END and re-enter your
PIN and press OK when complete.
