HAND REMOTE HR22
The HR22 is a remote control for use with the
TP22, TP32 and WP32 cockpit autopilots.
The keypad operates in the same manner as
the autopilot keypad - to engage the autopilot,
press the STBY/AUTO key (Fig 2). The LED
will light, indicating that the autopilot is acti-
vated. To disengage the autopilot, simply press
STBY/AUTO again.
While in Standby mode, the Port ( ) and
Starboard ( ) keys can be used to "power
steer" the vessel using the autopilot (Fig 3).
In Auto mode, press Port ( ) or Starboard ( )
once to alter course by 1º (Fig 4). Press and
hold the key to adjust the course by 10º.
To Autotack, press and hold the TACK key,
and while keeping it held, press Port ( ), or
Starboard ( ) (Fig 5), depending on which
direction the vessel is tacking.
NOTE - If in Sail To Wind mode, the vessel
will tack onto the same apparent wind bearing,
but on the opposite tack. In this mode, the
autopilot will only allow a tack in the correct
direction, and the facility is disabled if sailing
downwind.
NOTE - Access to Nav mode is not available.
