Getting to know your recorder Getting Started
Setting the LCD clock
Press the 'SET' button, the hour will begin to flash.
Press 'UP' or 'DOWN' until the correct hour is
shown, then press 'SET' again. The minutes will
now flash. Set minutes in the same way, using 'UP'
or 'DOWN', then press 'SET', it will then continue
to Year, month and day. Set each using 'UP' or
'DOWN' and pressing 'SET' between each.
Installing microSD card
The microSD card is installed in TF slot under the
battery compartment cover.
Charging your battery recorder
Before using the SPYALC16 we recommend
making sure the device is fully charged. To charge,
connect to a PC USB port, or a 5V USB charger. The
red light will come on to indicate it is connected to
a charger. The recorder will take 4-6 hours to fully
charge from a flat battery. The red light will go out
when fully charged.
Playback on your computer
For playing back the files on your computer, we
recommend using VLC Media Player. The latest
version can be downloaded for free from http://
www.videolan.org
Make sure the switch under the battery cover is
set to ON before connecting to your computers
USB port, then once connected, press the power
button on the remote and the unit will be detected
by your PC.
