This will insure a fully charged radio when you need it and the battery will last longer. The solar collector will not completely charge your unit and is intended to extend the existing battery charge. 5.2 DC and AC Power Prior to using the ADVENTURER, we recommend you fully charge the rechargeable battery through the USB Power Input (Figure 2). -
