Programming & User Instructions
July 31, 2008
Software Version A52
The following information reflects the programming instructions and
steps necessary to implement the Security System features of the
G1E Plus Hybrid IP Communication System.
Description of Operation– The G1E Plus System incorporates integrated security
capabilities as a standard feature in all systems. Sensors are used in the G1E Plus
for the purposes detecting changes in their status as it related to door or window
openings. There is one sensor standard and is located on the motherboard of the
G1E Plus System. There are also sensors located in both the Access Control Phone
as well as the Door Phone.
The sensors are generally programmed as normally closed and when a door is
opened an alarm condition is triggered. All telephone sets within the system will ring
for 30 seconds. LCD phones will show an alarm condition and also an indication of
which sensor/door has been opened while the system is armed.
After 30 seconds the system will begin to invoke an Emergency Call Alert to up to 5
outside telephone numbers in a cascading manner. The system will advance from
one number to the next until and response is received in the way of a manually
pressed * key or a polarity reversal answer supervision signal. Each number will ring
for a period of approximately 60 seconds before disconnecting and attempting the
next number. A special user recorded message is played to each telephone number
attempted.
