It should not be operated under running water and under no circumstances should it be fully immersed in water.

Thus, an external FM wire antenna isn’t required to be installed on this unit to receive the FM radio. However, if you reside in the poor reception area and want to enhance the FM radio reception more, you might attach the pigtail wire antenna at the external FM antenna terminal located on the back of the unit.
