Air filter:

NEVER start the engine if the air filter is not in place.
Remove the air filter cover by pressing the catch that holds the cover in place.
Wash the air filter in lukewarm soapy water and then dry it thoroughly. Wet it again using a little 4-stroke oil.
Squeeze any surplus oil out. If the filter is very damaged it should be replaced
Replace the filter and cover. Make sure the filter and cover fit closely.
The air filter must be washed every 5 hours; however, it should be washed more frequently when you work in dusty
areas.

SPARK PLUG

Replace the spark plug if the electrode is burnt out, or if the porcelain is broken.
This machine is equipped with a W22FS-UB spark plug, which has an electrode distance of 0.6 mm. For optimum
performance, it should be replaced once a year.

Storage

If the machine is not going to be used for a prolonged period, the following instructions must be complied with. This
will give your machine a longer service life.
Drain all fuel from the machine. Allow the engine to run until the carburettor is completely empty (the engine stops
of its own accord). If fuel is left in the tank for a prolonged period, impurities in the petrol can block the carburettor,
making it difficult to start the engine and resulting in performance loss, etc.
Detach the spark plug. Pour a few drops of engine oil into the spark plug opening. Pull the starter cord 4-5
times and replace the spark plug. Pull the starter cord slowly until you feel some resistance. This closes the
intake and exhaust valve, thus preventing the formation of rust in the cylinder.
Wipe the surface with a cloth moistened with oil.
You should always store your machine in a clean, dry place.
