Discarded electric and electronic appliances often still contain valuable materials. However, they
also contain dangerous materials they needed to work well and safely.
If these appliances are mixed with regular domestic waste materials or are not properly handled,
they can endanger human health and the environment.
NOTE:
Take old and broken electric and electronic appliances to the waste collection point in your area to
have them recycled. You can contact your town hall, your waste collection company or the dealer
where you bought the appliance for information.
Disable the appliance before disposing of it. Ensure that you store your discarded appliance out of
the reach of children until it is collected.

DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2011/65/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), re-
quires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted
municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the reco-
very and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the
environment.

on the product reminds you of your obligation,
that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected.
