You can create messages with text
and symbols only, to send as text
messages (SMS). You can add
pictures, video, sounds and more
to messages to send as picture
messages (MMS). Picture messages
can be sent to a mobile phone or an
email address. You can also create
and use templates for your messages.
Before you use text messaging
The number to your service centre is
already predefined in your phone
settings however you can enter the
number of your service centre yourself.
To enter a service centre number

From standby select
> the
Connectivity
settings
> SMS. The number is shown
if it is saved on the SIM card.

If there is no number shown, scroll to
New ServiceCentre

Enter the number, including the
international "+" sign and country
code.

Select Save.

Message
and select Add.
Before you use picture messaging
Both you and the recipient must have
subscriptions that support picture
messaging. If no Internet profile or
message server exists, you can
receive all the settings for MMS
automatically from your network
operator, www.vodafone.com or from
www.sonyericsson.com/support.
To write and send a text message

From standby select
Messaging
>
Create new

Write the message.

Press
to use the toolbar options to
add items. Press
an option.

Select
Continue

Select a recipient and select
A message automatically converts from
being a text message (SMS) to a picture
message (MMS) if you use toolbar options
such as adding pictures, sounds or more.
If you use text only, the message stays
as a text message.
If you send a text message to a group,
you will be charged for each member.
