MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Brakes
2. Check the brake system for fluid leaks.
3. Check the brakes for excessive travel or
spongy feel.
4. Check the friction pads for wear,
damage and looseness.
5. Check the security and surface
condition of the disc.
NOTE: Pads should be changed when
worn to 3/64" (.1 cm), or about the
thickness of a U.S. dime.
Auxiliary Brake
The auxiliary brake system is intended to be used as a backup for the
main brake system. Should the main system fail, the rear brake can be
activated by depressing the foot pedal on the inside of the right
footrest. The hydraulic auxiliary brake system requires no adjustment.
NOTE: Since this is a rear brake only, it will not be as effective as the
all-wheel single lever system.
