REPLACEMENT OF CD MECHANISM
f. Resetting thepickup tothe home position
(1) The fimitswitch isswitched ON bytheprojecfion ofthis rack
gear secured to the returned pickup, sffer which the sled motor
continues to operate (by the circuit) for approximately 30 maec,
: There is then again a reverse operation, and movement to
the position at which the switch is switched OFF.
(2) Rotation continues during about 30msec, sfierthe switch is
swfiched OFF. Andthen thepickup stops sthome position.

Preparation
. Measuring instruments and Test disc.
(1) Test Disc: YEDS18(SONY)
(2) Oscilloacope: SS5711(10MHz and Dual Phenomenon)

Confirm ofgeneral operation
(1) Setthetestdisc.
(2) Press the PtiYbuflon, thenconfim thedscrotating toclmtisetir*ion.
(3) Press the SKIPISEARCH bution, thenconfirm themost inner music ormostouter music accessing atswedy.
(4) Press the STOP button.
c. Confirm of eye pattern
(1) Connect anoscilloscope to RF(=lCIOl pin41(H))and VR
(J1315).
(2) Setthetest disc, preaathe PLAY button.
(3) Check to bsurethat the"eye" patiemis atcenterofwaveform
and that the diamond shaoe is clearfy defined.
(4) Press the STOP b.tfon.
