In phone promotion video
If the user chooses to complete the set up wizard
then a short video clip which shows a few of the
different functions in the phone will follow directly.
The user can choose to either view it directly or to
view it later. The video clip is by default stored in
the File manager in Videos. The video clip high-
lights the main propositions in the phone that
brings value to the user besides voice.
PIM (Personal Information
Management)
The user can stay up to date with his or hers every-
day events by synchronizing the phone contacts,
calendar appointments and tasks in the phone with
similar programs in a computer. The USB-cable
which comes with the phone, the built in Infrared or
Bluetooth feature can be used together with the
synchronization software which is available on the
CD in the kit.

Sony Ericsson Update Service

The D750i supports update service which lets the
user download the latest operator-approved ver-
sion of the mobile device software from the web
(www.SonyEricsson.com/support). The user only
needs to connect the phone to an Internet - con-
nected computer, download the software and
update the mobile device.
The application that guides the user through the
update process is a wizard with a web and Java
interface that are seamlessly integrated. The
mobile device is identified by model, operator and
software version. This makes it possible for Sony
Ericsson to guarantee operators that only approved
software is loaded into the mobile device.
MusicDJ™
Polyphonic sounds and the MIDI
format has revolutionized the
sound quality of ringtones in
mobile phones.
By using the MusicDJ™ the user can play,
compose, edit and send melodies. The built-in
sound synthesizer uses wave tables and real
instrument sounds with 40 voices polyphony. The
new composer has an improved graphical user
interface to simplify melody handling. All new and
edited melodies are stored in MIDI format.
VideoDJ™
Create a movie by mixing video clips, pictures,
sound and text which has already been created or
stored in the phone or on the Memory Stick. The
finished result can be sent by using email,
Bluetooth or infrared. VideoDJ™ can also be used
for editing video items.
Photo DJ™
Pictures that are stored in the phone memory or on
the Memory Stick can be edited by using Photo
DJ™. The user can for example add clipart, frames,
text, effects and much more to improve a picture's
quality after it has been captured by the camera or
received from another device.

File management

There is a file manager similar to that found on
many computers. In the file manager, the user has
an overview of the contents of the phone as well as
how much memory is allocated to each function
and feature. Folders can be created, renamed,
deleted and files can be moved between them.
From the file manager, the user can view pictures
and slide shows, as well as play music and video
clips.
GPRS (General Packet Radio
Service)
GPRS uses Internet-style packet-based technol-
ogy. GPRS gives the benefits of a permanently
available connection to the mobile Internet, but
only uses the radio link for the length of time it
takes to transfer data. GPRS offers the user the
speed needed for satisfactory mobile Internet usa-
bility. The phone supports GPRS Multislot Class 10
(4+2).
WAP 2.0 supporting XHTML™ MP
1.2
The WAP browser supports the markup languages
of WAP 2.0 – XHTML Mobile and XHTML Basic.
These two subsets of the Web standard XHTML are
supported by all major Web browsers. An XHTML
page can be viewed in both the WAP browser and
in any standard Web browser. All of the basic
XHTML features are supported, including text,
images, links, check boxes, radio buttons, text
areas, headings, horizontal rules and lists.
