INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FOR ALL CANON PRINTERS

CISS MBOX V.2
1. Keep out of reach of children. Seek medical advice if taken.
2. Avoid exposure to direct sunshine and don't keep it at high or freezing temperatures.
3. Avoid Knocks and bumps.
4. Please avoid taking out the cartridges after installing the CIS ink system, where possible.
5. This product is designed to operate within 10-40 degrees Celsius.
6. The CIS ink system has passed strict compatibility check, so we suggest using our ink and
cartridges to
maintain printer quality.
7. Mixing two different brands of ink into the CISS is not recommended
8. Keep the tank and printer at the same level. Do not place the tanks higher or lower than
their printer.
This Version of the Continuous Ink Flow System comes with Prefilled
Cartridges and Auto Reset Chips. You just need to fill the
Reservoir bottles and print! The whole operation is very easy.
It's really an effective tool to save your money.

  • Page 6 Installing the cartridge unit into the printer 1. Before you do anything with the cartridge, block the flow of ink from the tank unit to the cartridges but placing the pipeline lock into the lock position (as shown). 2. On top of the printer head is a housing unit which will house each of the cartridges you are to install.
  • Page 7 3. Turn the cartridges so that the orange covers are face-up. Hold the set of cartridges together in one hand so that the chipsets are facing you. Please ensure that the cartridge set is of a higher elevation than the tank unit. Remove the orange cartridge covers using your thumb and fore-finger.

Depending on the printer, you’ll need to decide which of these pipeline holders will best fit your printer to ensure that the pipeline is attached to the printer frame above the printer head.

  • Page 10 Making the printer think the cover is closed… The “printer cover latch” needs to be fooled into thinking the printer cover is closed (since the lid cannot be closed with tubing coming out of it) – simply use the small piece of rubber or a small folded piece of paper and insert it into the latch area with tweezers.
  • Page 11 Reset cartridges There are chips on the end of each cartridge which have a 'memory' of how much ink you have used. Printers also have a 'memory' of your usage. These memory systems assume you've run out of ink when you have consumed a certain amount. They don't realise that you have a large external tank feeding your cartridges.
