To prevent wear on the upper packing gland, the solvent chamber fluid lubricates the plunger. The lower packing gland is lubricated by the material being pumped. 1999 Nordson Corporation 104 330H Manual 1-8 All rights reserved...
When installing the 25B pump on a wall, stand, or dolly, there should be 2. Wall or Dolly Mounting at least 508 mm (20 in.) of clearance at the bottom of the pump. The installation area should be accessible for operation and servicing.
Install the air filter before the regulator/gauge. Fill the lubricator with Nordson vitalizer oil, included with the kit. Refer to your Solvent Chamber Fluids manual for instructions on adjusting the lubricator on initial start-up.
Installation CAUTION: Use Nordson, equivalent nylon, or Teflon hoses 4. Hydraulic Connections with electrical continuity between the fittings. They must withstand a maximum working pressure of at least 172 bar (2500 psi). They should have a minimum ID of 6.4 mm ( in.).
1. Install the solvent filler cup to the filler port at the right side of the solvent chamber. The filler cup is included with the various mounting kits available. 2. Fill the pump solvent chamber with the proper solvent chamber fluid. Manual 1-8 104 330H 1999 Nordson Corporation All rights reserved Issued 8/99...

The following information is given as an aid to solving pump problems. 3. General Pump Information Minimizing Pressure Use the following guidelines to minimize pressure deviations in the 25B pump. Deviations Air Supply Correct sizing and installation of the pump air supply system will reduce pressure deviation problems.
Page 49
Troubleshooting Pump Suction Problems Use the following guidelines to isolate and correct 25B pump suction problems. Cavitation A large percentage of pump problems are the result of siphoning problems or cavitation. Pressure variations can be caused by restricting the suction or siphon side of the pump. When the pump does not fully prime on the up stroke, the pump will race or dive on the early portion of the down stroke.
