Yes, the Flip-Pal scanner model 100C requires an SD card for operation. It stores scans on the SD memory card, and if the card is missing or unreadable, the scanner cannot function properly.

The Flip-Pal scanner model 100C requires an SD memory card to operate properly. While the context does not specify a particular brand or type, it mentions that the SD card must be readable and have enough space. Unreadable or full cards can cause errors, and defective cards may need to be reformatted or replaced.

If the Flip-Pal 100C won't turn on after replacing the batteries, possible reasons include:

1. The battery-protect tab was not removed properly.
2. The batteries are not inserted correctly.
3. The new batteries are depleted or faulty.
4. There may be a hardware issue such as a self-test, calibration, or checksum failure, which requires contacting customer support.
