1. Open the outer cabinet by removing the two screws securing the
side panels, then pushing each side panel toward the rear of the
unit.
2. Mount up to two 5.25" devices or enclosures using the supplied
screws.
3. Connect each device or each connection on each enclosure to the
Port Multiplier.
4. Close the outer cabinet and secure it with the three cover screws.
5. If multiple drives in the cabinet are to be used independently,
connect the eSATA port on the back of the unit to an eSATA host
that supports Port Multipliers or connect USB 3.0 port. Do not
connect USB and eSATA concurrently.
6. If multiple drives are installed and a RAID configuration is desired,
proceed to the section titled Configuring the RAID Mode. If a
single RAID unit is created, port multiplier support is not required.
If multiple RAID units are defined, an eSATA host that supports
Port Multipliers will be required.
