Assembly; Pinion Bearing - BRP 2995 Johnson Service Manual

Clutch Return Spring
Measure the clutch return spring free length .
Replace if out of specification:
• Standard: 2.75 in. (70 mm)
• Service limit: 2.6 in. (67 mm)
Forward and Reverse Bearings
Check for pitting, noise, rough operation.
If necessary remove bearings using Puller Bridge,
PIN 432127. and Large Puller Jaws, PIN 432129.

Assemble tools from Universal Pinion Bearing
Remover and Installer kits, PIN 5005927 and
PIN 5005928, as shown:
