In this section, you have leaned how to loop the phrase sample with the
sequence function. But if you wish the looping sample, the MPC2500 has
the "Auto Phrase Loop" function. For more information, see the "Auto
Phrase Loop"(page 77) section of the operator's manual.
The MPC2500 also has the Patched Phrase function that the phrase
sample can be follow to the tempo of the sequence when you
change it. For more information, see the "Dividing a phrase sample
to several Reigions" (page 69) section of the operator's manual.

Saving the data

The data you made in the MPC2500 will be deleted when you turn off the unit. If you wish to keep the data, proceed as
described in the "Save / Load" section( page 103) or the "Connecting the MPC2500 to your computer" (page 112) of the
operator's manual.

Turning off the Autoload function

The MPC2500 is designed like the other MPC series samplers. However, the MPC2500 is set to automatically load the preset
file when you switch on the unit, so that you can start playing the sound by hitting pads immediately. If you wish to create a
program in the MPC2500, instead of using the preset sounds, you can turn off the Autoload function. Then the MPC2500 will
not load the file automatically when turned on.
01. Press the [MODE] key and then the [PAD 2] (LOAD).
When you press the [MODE] key, its LED will be lit, which allows you to select a mode. If you press the [PAD 2]
(LOAD) when the LED is lit, LOAD page will be displayed.
02. In the LOAD from field, press the [WINDOW] key.
This brings up the Load Setup window, where you can set the Autoload function.
03. Select OFF in the Autoload field, and press the [F4] (CLOSE).
04. Turn off the MPC2500 and then turn it on again.
