Next G U I D E Plus+ G O L D will ask if your television is
connected to a cable system.
1. Use the up and down arrow keys on your remote to
select Yes or No.
2. Press the E

If you selected NO, you will automatically move to Step 4. If you selected
YES, you will move to Step 3A.)
STEP 3A
G U I D E Plus+ G O L D will then ask if you need a cable box to
receive cable broadcasts.
1. Use the up and down arrow keys on your remote to
select Yes or No.
2. Press the E

If you selected NO, you will automatically move to Step 4. If you selected
YES, you will move to Step 3B.)
STEP 3B
The following steps will make sure that G U I D E Plus+ G O L D
can interact properly with your cable box.
(For more information on connecting your D-800 series
television to a cable system, please see pages 7-8).
1. Tune your cable box to channel 02.
2. Using the up and down arrow keys, select your
cable box brand from the on-screen list (brand
names appear in alphabetical order). Press E
record your selection.
