Press CATEGORY + or – to select the
category you want.
The category is selected and the channel
with the lowest number in the specified
category is selected.

Press TUNING + or – to select the
channel.
Note
• When you select a channel in the "ONE CAT" mode,
the channel you selected may not be the one in the
category you want. This is because one channel may
belong to more than one category.
• If you press CATEGORY + or – in the "ALL CAT"
mode, the first channel of the next or previous
category is selected (Category Skip).
Selecting channels by

directly (Direct Tuning)

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until "XM"
appears in the front panel display.

Press D.TUNING.

Enter the channel number using the
number buttons.

The selected channel is tune in.
Note
• When you select channels by Direct Tuning, the
category mode is automatically set to "ALL CAT."

Press DISPLAY repeatedly.
Each time you press DISPLAY while tuning in
the channel, the display changes 1 t 2 t ...

1 Channel name
2 Channel number
3 Category
4 Artist name/Feature
5 Song/Program title
Presetting XM Radio
Channels
You can select the channels you want directly by
presetting them using the preset numbers.
You can preset up to 30 XM Radio channels.
Presetting channels

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until "XM"
appears in the front panel display.

Tune in the channel you want to preset.
For details on selecting channels, see
"Listening to the XM Radio" (page 63).

Press SYSTEM MENU.
"MEMORY" appears in the front panel
display.

Press X/x repeatedly to select the
preset number.
Preset numbers from 1 to 30 are available,
and channel 1 is preset for all the preset
numbers when you purchase the unit.
Tip
• You can select the preset number directly by
pressing the number buttons.

The channel is stored as the selected preset
number.

Repeat 2 to 6 to preset another
channel.

Press SYSTEM MENU.
The system menu turns off.
