Changing Remote Control Batteries

Emotiva recommends using high quality Alkaline AAA batteries in the ERC-3 remote control.
Removing the Battery Protective Strip
When you receive your ERC-3, the batteries in the remote control will be disabled by a small
plastic strip placed between the battery and the battery contact to prevent them from becoming
drained during shipping and storage. This strip must be removed to activate your remote control
before using it.
Carefully remove the six phillips head screws securing the back of the remote control.
Note: Be sure to use the correct size screwdriver to avoid stripping or damaging the screws.
Locate the battery holder.
Carefully pull out the plastic strip inserted between the end of one of the batteries and the
metal contact strip in the battery holder.
Carefully replace the six phillips head screws securing the back of the remote control.
Your remote control is now ready to use.
