Troubleshooting
Handset will not power on

Was L pressed for more than three seconds?

Is battery level sufficient?

Is battery installed properly? (ZP.1-5)
Handset functions do not work after power on
・
Does PIN entry window appear?
PIN Certification (ZP.1-13) is ON . Enter PIN.
Insert USIM or INVALID USIM appears at power on or after key press
・
Is USIM Card installed correctly? (ZP.1-4)
・
Is SoftBank Mobile specified USIM Card installed?
Unusable USIM Card may be inserted.
・
USIM Card IC chip may be dirty.
Wipe with a clean cloth, then correctly install USIM Card.
Keypad does not respond
・
Does appear in Standby?
Keyguard (ZP.1-9) is active. Cancel it.
Display is blurry
・
Is eco Mode active?
Cancel eco Mode (ZP.1-5).
Outgoing calls/text messages/Internet transmissions are unavailable

Does
(red) appear?
Is handset out-of-range or signal weak?
Move for a stronger signal.

Does
appear?
Cancel Offline Mode (ZP.1-14).

Are you using handset outside Japan?
Change International Call settings (e.g. select operator) (ZP.3-4).

Is area code entered?

Are outgoing calls restricted (Call Barring)? (ZP.3-9)
Call is interrupted or disconnected

appear? Is handset out-of-range or signal weak?
Move for a stronger signal.
Digital TV does not work

Is handset out of set broadcast area range or TV signal weak?
Confirm Channel List area or move for a stronger signal.
Date & Time is incorrect

Battery removal does not affect Date & Time, however, a long period without
power may. Set Date & Time or Retrieve NW Info (ZP.1-9).
