Using the resume function to restart play
If you press [º] during play, the unit remembers the
position.
This function does not work if the disc's play time is not displayed.
[A] To restart play from that position
Press [1] while "RESUME" is lit.
To review the chapters up to the point where you
stopped play ([DVD] only)
The message "Press PLAY to Chapter Preview" appears for a few
seconds before the resume function is activated after pressing [1].
Press [1] while the message is on the TV.
The beginning portions of each chapter up to the current one are
played.
Full play resumes from the point where you stopped play.
[B] To cancel the resume function
Press [º] while "RESUME" is lit.
Note
³The position is saved even if the unit is turned off.
³Resume is canceled if the disc tray is opened.
³Chapter preview is not possible with some DVDs.

C Pause (Still picture)
Press [;] during play.
Press [1] to resume play.

Skip
D
Chapters on DVD and tracks on Video CD and CD can be skipped.
Press [X/4] or [5/W] during play.
X/4: Backward
5/W: Forward
Each press increases the number of skips.
Note
³If pressed while a Video CD menu is on the screen, you may return
to the previous menu.
³If pressed while playing a Video CD with PBC, you may return to a
menu screen.

Remote control:
Press [SLOW/SEARCH (6 or 5)] during play.
6: Backward
5: Forward
Each press increases the speed of the search. There are 5 speeds.
³If pressed while playing a Video CD with PBC, you may return to a
menu screen.
Twice
Press [1] to resume play.
Main unit and remote control:
Press and hold [X/4] or [5/W] during play.
Search speed cannot be changed.
Play resumes when you release the button.
