Getting Started
Your VINCI Tab M is ready to enjoy. Turn on,
unlock and explore
Press the power button to go in and out of
•
sleep mode
Press and hold the power button for more
•
than 5 seconds to reset
Press the Menu button to access ANDROID
•
settings
Charging
Connect the USB cable to the USB connector
•
with the arrow on the Cable facing the screen
Do not bend the connector as it may damage
•
or cause device malfunction.
Connect the other end of the cable to the
•
charger or to your PC. It takes about 4 hours
to reach a full charge.
Parent Mode
Press the Menu button and enter password
•
"MyVINCI" (case sensitive). The password
can be changed only on VINCI Tab M
models running Android 4 or higher.
Create new folders and organize your apps
•
by pressing your finger on the screen to
bring up the next promt
Installing VINCI Curriculum SD Cards:
Insert the Curriculum MicroSD Card directly
•
into the VINCI Tab M, gold PINs facing up.
Login to Parent Mode, open "ASTRO"
•
and go to external SD card:
/mnt/sdcard/tflash for Android 2.3; /mnt/sdcard/
ext_sd for Android 4.0
TM
Tap on CPInstaller (Curriculum Pack Installer)
•
and follow the prompt to install.
If you already have CPInstaller installed,
•
delete the old version and install the new
version upon prompt.
All VINCI Curriculum apps are placed
•
automatically under the appropriate VINCI
Curriculum icon on the Home screen.

Install New Apps
After Parent Login, you may install new apps
either by downloading from any app store or by
inserting a MicroSD card. When installing from
a MicroSD card, follow the same direction as for
installing VINCI Curriculum apps.
View Pictures or Videos
On VINCI Tab desktop, locate Gallery.
It will display all the media files including
pictures and videos. Tap on a media file to enjoy.
Transfer Media Files
You can turn on USB mode when plugging
your VINCI Tab M into your PC. Using
Windows Explorer or any file explorer to
view and exchange media files.
Warning: Please do NOT change original
folder structure under /mnt/sdcard/. Copy
your media files into corresponding folders
instead. For example, music mp3 files under
Audio
Music, video MP4 files under Movie.
